When You’ve Done the Work—But Something Still Isn’t Shifting
A more focused, immersive approach for people ready to move beyond insight and into resolution.
Private EMDR Intensive Healing Retreats
Tampa Bay Area | New Port Richey, Florida
Step out of your daily environment and into a quieter, more intentional space, where your attention can return to what has been waiting to be processed.
A More Continuous Way to HealIn weekly therapy, there is often a rhythm of opening and closing.
You begin to touch something meaningful and then set it aside until the next session. Over time, this can begin to feel limiting.
Not because the work isn’t valuable, but because there isn’t enough continuity for deeper processing to unfold.
An intensive changes that.
We stay with your experience long enough for your nervous system to settle, respond, and begin to resolve what has been held.
There is no rush, but there is enough time for meaningful movement to occur.
What this Retreat is
A Structured, Clinically Grounded Experience
This is a focused therapy experience held within an environment that feels calm, contained, and steady.
Over two to five days, we work together for six hours per day using:
Advanced EMDR, including EMDR 2.0 and expanded protocols
IFS-informed parts work
Somatic and nervous system-based approaches
Carefully paced trauma processing
The work is active without becoming overwhelming.
It remains focused without being forced.
This Work Is Not Designed for Everyone.
This format is intentionally different from weekly therapy.
It is often a strong fit for individuals who:
Are used to functioning at a high level, even while carrying significant internal weight
Have already spent time in therapy and are no longer looking for a slow, open-ended process
Value depth, privacy, and efficiency
Are ready to dedicate focused time and energy to their healing
This may NOT be the right fit if you are looking for:
On-going weekly support
A gradual, long-term pace
A lower-intensity approach
There is no right or wrong here—only what matches your needs.
When Time and Continuity Become the Missing Piece
Many clients arrive here after years of therapy. They understand their patterns. They have insight into their experiences. And still, certain pieces remain unresolved. What is often missing is not understanding, but time and continuity.
In an intensive format:
We don’t have to close something just as it begins to open
Your system has time to settle and respond
The work can unfold in a more complete and connected way
This is not about doing more—it’s about allowing enough space for the work to move forward.
Stepping Outside of Daily Life Supports Deeper Work
Many clients who choose this format travel from out of state.
They intentionally step outside of their daily environment—away from responsibilities, roles, and familiar patterns—to create space for deeper focus.
Traveling for an intensive allows:
Greater privacy
Fewer interruptions
A clearer boundary between daily life and healing work
The setting becomes part of the process—supporting your system in settling and staying with the work.
The Setting
Quiet, Walkable, and Close to the Water
Your intensive takes place in New Port Richey, Florida—a historic riverfront town along the Cotee River.
The pace here is noticeably slower and more settled.
Between sessions, you might:
Walk along the river as it moves quietly past
Sit beneath shaded trees in the nearby park
Notice the stillness of the water or the occasional manatee or dolphin
Step into a café or restaurant just a few minutes away
Nothing about the environment is demanding. It allows your nervous system to settle without asking anything of you.
A Private, Historic Space to Do This Work.
Your stay is hosted at The Hacienda, a restored 1920s hotel in the heart of downtown New Port Richie, Florida.
The space carries a quiet sense of history, with original architectural details and a calm, understated presence.
Your private suite provides:
A contained, comfortable space for therapy
Room to rest between sessions
A setting that feels separate from daily life
Just beyond the property is Sims Park, with river views and open space.
Everything is within reach—allowing your attention to remain on the work itself.
Between Sessions: Space for Integration
After each session, your system continues to process what has been opened.
You may notice:
A sense of quiet settling
Physical fatigue
New awareness beginning to emerge
You will have space to:
Rest in your room
Walk along the river
Sit in stillness
Engage in optional supportive services.
There is no expectation—only space for your system to do what it needs.
Clinical Depth, With Careful Pacing
This work is grounded in advanced EMDR training, with integration of:
Parts work
Somatic approaches
Neuroscience-informed care
You will not be pushed beyond what your system can manage.
We work in a way that is:
Direct and contained
Deep and steady
Structured and responsive
Your nervous system leads. The process follows.
